The northern Cook Islands are seven low-lying, sparsely populated, coral atolls. The southern Cook Islands consist of eight elevated, fertile, volcanic isles where most of the populace lives.

The Education for All Children with Vision Impairments (EFA-VI) National Plan for Fiji (2009-2011) was produced through a process of collaboration with Fijian and Pacific regional government and non-government organisations and support groups. The International Council for People with Visual Impairment (ICEVI) in partnership with the World Blind Union (WBU) are currently making preparations for hosting the Fiji EFA-VI Forum in Suva Fiji, from 6th to 8th October 2008. Read about Fiji EFA-VI Forum.
