The Pacific Regional Disability Conference 2009 provided the opportunity for Pacific national DPOs and regional government and non-government development partners to meet and discuss issues and approaches to promoting the human rights of persons with disabilities and the capacity of DPOs in the Pacific. The Education for All Children with Vision Impairments (EFA-VI) National Plan for Fiji (2009-2011) was produced through a process of collaboration with Fijian and Pacific regional government and non-government organisations and support groups. The International Council for People with Visual Impairment (ICEVI) in partnership with the World Blind Union (WBU) are currently making preparations for hosting the Fiji EFA-VI Forum in Suva Fiji, from 6th to 8th October 2008. Read about Fiji EFA-VI Forum.
